WHENESOTA's Pizza Burgers Recipe

1.5 lbs of 80/20 Ground beef

.5 lb of ground mild Italian Sausage (I use Morellis)

2 Good sized Garlic Cloves Smashed then pressed

Small handful of Basil leaves chopped as small as you can


Italian seasoning

Olive Oil

Melted Butter

Garlic powder

Hamburger buns of your choosing

Pizza Sauce (Jarred or homemade see below for homemade recipe)

Mix Meat, Garlic, Basil, and a few dashes of both Oregano and Italian seasoning. Make patties about 3/8 to half inch thick. Fry Patties in pan with olive oil. Lightly cover both sides of Bun with pizza sauce. I usually have extra on the side if people want more. Place Patty on a bun and top with a slice of Mozzarella and provolone cheese. Bruch Melted Butter on top of bun and sprinkle with Garlic powder. Put all burgers on a pan and broil in over for 5ish minutes to make bun crispy and cheese melty. I serve with a side of crinkle fries.

WHEN-ESOTA’s Pizza Sauce Recipe

1- 14.5 Oz Can of ROMA tomatoes or San Marzano depending on how sweet you want it

Handful of Fresh Basil

Tablespoon of Olive Oil

A few dashes of Oregano

1 teaspoon of sugar, again depending on how sweet you want it.

2-3 Cloves of Garlic, smashed

1-6oz can of tomato paste

Pinch of Red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and onion powder if desired.

Put all ingredients in food processor and pulse to desired consistency.
